PostSubject: Searching for the Elusive Grass Gummi   Thu Aug 08, 2013 11:54 pm

First topic message reminder :

I need it for my Collection!:

Tsukishiro wandered lazily towards Pecha Forest. It had been a while since she had come here, especially since all of her jobs lately had been in places other than the rather bright and cheerful forest she was heading into now. If she was perfectly honest, she actually kind of missed the bright environment. The lush greenery of the trees and the shrubbery that grew beneath it, and the peachy pink colour of the Pecha Berries that grew upon them.
The Absol smiled, before remembering the task at hand and turning her attention to the ground. A Grass Gummi shouldn't be too hard to find.

With a small frown, Tsukishiro looked on almost disappointed by the Petilil's decision. The young Absol truly believed that all Pokemon were capable of good and rationality, even the so-called 'feral' Pokemon that lived within dungeons and were highly territorial.
Nodding the Acro, Shiro took a moment before she too began to bound after the Petilil, following the sounds made by the grass type as she scrambled through the undergrowth. Being a strong limbed Absol, Shiro was easily faster than the Petilil and quickly caught up. She released a short burst of energy in the form of a weak Dark Pulse from her jaws to knock the Warp Seed from the grass type's mouth, just before she was going to eat it.

The pulse of dark energy slammed into the petlil, it was weak but it stuck with enough force to knock the seed out of the Petlil's jaws. The petlil squealed as it was struck by the attack, abandoning any attempt to go for the seed and continue try and run. The moment of hesitation to leave the seed behind had been a bad move for the petlil, as Acro blocked the path any father, landing on the ground in front of it, missing it by a few inches. The petlil squeaked in fear and turned to run the opposite direction only to see the absol. It gave another squeak before trying to run to the side.

Tsukishiro promptly used Quick Attack, scooping her Warp Seed up in the process before blocking the Petilil's pathway once more. It didn't matter where it tried to run, the Absol could easily out-speed it and block it's way forward.
"I asked nicely before and even offered a trade, but you threw it in our faces," Shiro commented, "I'd appreciate it if you could let us have the Gummi. There are more in the forest that you could find, and I don't appreciate you stealing that one from beneath our noses."
The Absol, though preferring to give others a chance and think of everyone as having some good within them, it was true that some of the dungeon inhabitants just weren't that. This Petilil however wasn't evil or anything, just rude in the fact that she could see that the two explorers had been about to fetch the gummi when she had taken it.

The petlil looked at the gummi it held once more before looking back to the absol. It seemed to think for a brief moment before the leaves on its head began to quiver and the petlil began to whistle a sweet lullaby like tune. It seemed to be trying to send the absol into a slumber, Shiro's archen companion seemed to have other ideas as he smashed some rocks that were lifted by Ancient Power into the Petlil. The attack was small and weak, only just enough to get it to stop singing the absol to sleep. The petlil glared at the Archen, and flipped its hair back and forth leaves at the Archen in a Razor Leaf attack. The attack struck the archen, but the archen disappeared and reappeared in a different spot, it Acro's double team.

Tsukishiro could feel her eyes beginning to droop at the whistling sound being produced by the Petilil, however that was quickly stopped by Acro's Ancient Power. Nodding toward Acro to portray her gratitude, the Absol then used Dark Pulse, hoping that the purple and black hued dark energy would land another hit on the Petilil whilst it was instead occupied trying to hit Acro using it's razor leaf attack.

The petlil was struck with the pulse of dark energy, causing it to cry out in pain. It glared at the absol and sent a Razor Leaf in its direction while still trying to strike the Archen with the razor edged leaves. It seemed to be growing frustrated, as Acro seemed to keep disappearing and reappearing elsewhere, his Double Team proving to be quite an annoying tactic. The archen was growing a bit more confident, as he prepared to deal his own attack. He moved along the branches, performing small stunts as he gained momentum in preparation for a Acrobatics attack.

He was ready to attack when a leaf sliced into him, the surprised archen blinked, all movement stopping, before a barrage of leaves began to swallow the archen whole! Acro gave a screech of both surprise and pain as he tried to flee from the attacks, managing to escape behind the trunk of a tree.

The petlil smirked, and turned to the absol...

As the Razor leaf headed her way, Shiro quickly hopped backward a few steps, her horn glowing in the process. Using Feint, she then sliced them with her horn as they approached her, tactfully defending herself from the Petilil's attack. With the Petilil's attention on Acro once more, she then began running back over to the Petilil, using Feint in a slightly different way and causing her claws to glow with a white light instead of her horn. Her anger towards the Petilil only building as she attacked the Archen, Shiro swiped at the grass type mere seconds after it turned around, hoping to get a direct hit.
"Are you alright?" she called to Acro after the attack.

The archen, having suffered only cuts and bruises thanks to his flying type resisting damage, spoke back to the absol when it had called out for his status, "Fine!" The archen then peeked his head around the corner of the tree trunk, looking at the scene that was laid out before him.

The petlil yelped as it was struck with the Feint attack, the force of the attack causing it to fly into a bush. The petlil had dropped the gummi in the process, leaving the gummi in the middle between the absol and the petlil. It was out in the open, and the gummi was a fair distance away from the two creatures, right in the middle of the space between them. It would be a race to see who gets it if the absol decided to jump for the gummi, as the Petlil crawled out of the bush and laid its eyes on the gummi.

Knowing that Acro was alright and wanting to avoid another direct confrontation with the Petilil, Tsukishiro used Quick Attack, attempting to get to the gummi before the grass type so that she and the Archen could make their escape without anyone getting more hurt then they already were. Shiro sped towards the green gummi, a white trail extending behind her as she was almost invisible to the naked eye as a result of the speed at which the move allowed her to travel. Though it was fast to any watching, it felt slower to the Absol herself and she had a short moment of thought before trying to swipe the gummi. Was this one gummi really all worth this trouble? she couldn't help but wonder.

The petlil still attempted to reach the gummi first, but failed as the absol reached the gummi in a matter of seconds. The grass type seemed to grow enraged as the rescue team recovered the gummi, it shouted in rage as it waved its leaves around and unleashed a Razor Leaf attack fueled by fury. Acro, not being the main target and able to move around this time, revealed himself from behind the trunk and was surrounded in a purple aura as his Ancient Power picked up small pebbles and flung themselves at the petlil, some clashed with the leaves and canceled their attack, but most went straight for the petlil, smashing into it and flinging it back into the bush, it did not re-emerge it seemed...

Dashing away from the Petilil once the gummi had been recovered, Tsukishiro skidded to a half a short distance away, breathing thanks to Acro for ridding her of the Razor Leaf attack that had been on her tail moments after she'd attempted to make her escape. With the Petilil seemingly incapacitated for now, the Absol looked to the Archen, placing the gummi into her explorer's bag.
"Should we get out of here?" she asked, as if unsure whether they should leave the Petilil like that.

"It would likely be best to," The archen spoke, keeping his eyes on the bush the petlil had disappeared behind. He was waiting for the delivery-absol to make her way past him before he took his eyes off of the petlil, which seemed to be highly persistent in taking the gummi for some strange reason he could not comprehend. Although now was not the time to think of what the Petlil could have wanted with the gummi, for they had a mission to complete and the time of day seemed to be slowly shifting to the point where they had been out here for a while now. The archen spoke to the absol, "You go ahead, i'll be right behind you in case it decides to chase after us."

Tsukishiro nodded to Acro before she began making her way past the Archen, heading in the direction she knew to be the forest's exit.
"I'll guess i'll see you in a little while then," she commented with a small smile before leaving. As the Absol bounded towards the forest's exit, she once again couldn't help but wonder what the Petilil wanted this specific gummi so much. There was plenty of food in Pecha Forest after all. Was it just doing this to be a nuisance?

[Post 14! Your post ends it!]

The archen stayed for a few seconds as the absol's white fur disappeared behind the green tree leaves of Pecha Forest. The archen followed behind once he was satisfied with the Petlil's failure to reappear. He leaped from tree branch to tree branch, swinging on the branches using his feet and talons as he used Acrobatics in attempt to pick up momentum and speed in order to catch up with the absol. It was not long before the two came near the forest edge.

"Well...that was eventful," the archen spoke.

"Just a bit..." replied the Absol, slowing down and catching her breath as they reached the edge of the forest, "Well... I suppose at least that means we're done with this mission anyhow," she commented with a small smile. At least the Swellow client would be happy with the outcome of this mission. That's what counted, right?
