Nighttime Meetup

Tallulah the Buizel walked on the soft ground in the Cattail Marsh. Water surrounded her, and with one wrong move the water weasel could slip and fall into the murky waters around her... Not that she was worried. As a Water type, Tally didn't mind the water, and if she fell in there really was no reason to worry.

Overhead, the sky was dark and a bright crescent moon shown through the few clouds drifting about. A slight wind blew some of the mist and fog from the Mire and occasionally there was a light fron an Illumise or Volbeat. Tally could hear the sounds of nocturnal Pokemon going about their nightly lives around her.

Tally had good reason (to her at least) to be out alone this late at night. She had heard that there was an extra challenge at night around here, with tougher Pokemon coming out when the sun went down. Tally really liked challenges and getting stronger, so she had prepared for this trip by sleeping through the day at an inn in the nearby Rainfront Town so she could have the most energy at this time of night.

The Buizel looked up at the night sky, examining the pretty stars peeking through the holes between the clouds. They we beautiful, but as Tally admired them she felt her foot give way on a very soft and muddy stretch of land. She slipped and fell into the water with a loud splash and cursed as she picked herself up and moved back onto land.

"Okay then," Tally said as she walked along the dirty path. The soft earth covered the Buizel's feet and squished as she took steps, but she didn't find it gross. It felt cool on her feet and sje just continued onward as if it was solid ground. She looked back at the others to see if they were coming and doing okay. She didn't want one to slip and her to be too far away to save them.

The muddy ground wasn't to fun for Kim. She used the water to wash off her feet every once in a while. It did little to help the humidity. Even with this she managed a smile for Tally. She looked around as they walked along. At least it was pretty out tonight.

Leif cautiously prowled over the mud, frowning as he was so close to the water. When the opportunity granted itself he stepped over rocks and onto drier land. Every now and then he needed to run to catch up, after the strange winding and dry paths he was taking.

As Tally continued on, she took in the peacefulness of the night. The Buizel could hear the calls of Hoothoot and the chirping of Kricketot in the distance, though their exact location was unknown. It didn't matter much though. The sounds of the nocturnal Pokemon were calminf and sort of made Tally a bit drowsy... Tally shook off any signs of sleep. She was not going to drift of at all!

Nearby on the mud trail, something was stuck in the ground. The dirt coving it made it hard to see, and Tally accidentally stepped on it. She quickly withdrew her foot and bent over, hoping to find out what was lodged in the dirt.
